The wife and I are planning a trip to Baraboo, and while researching stuff to do up there (besides seeing the purty-colored leaves and buying pumpkins) I was reminded that August Derleth was born and ran Arkham House (among other accomplishments) in nearby Sauk City.
Anyway, the man has, of all things, a park named after him. I wonder how much thought the kidlings give to its namesake and the nameless eldritch horrors on whose behalf he evangelized?
