Big Pimpin'

Hi all,

I know a few writers have friended me here, so I wanted to pass along a story idea to anyone who might be interested in an interesting subject for an interview or article. Bob Calhoun was Count Dante, the Deadliest Man Alive, in San Francisco's Incredibly Strange Wrestling promotion. Bob just released a hilarious yet disturbing memoir of those years (see link). He'll be reading at Quimby's next Friday, 9/5, so if you're Chicago-based you might want to interview him and write something up quickly. Obviously, people outside of Chicago needn't feel any time constraints.

I already wrote a bit on Bob for the Reader, by the by. Generally, I try not to act like a PR agent for my subjects, but Bob's a funny guy and an engaging writer, and his book deserves some attention.

Thanks!
Dan Kelly
