I'm not sure if this will be entirely clear, but... Marketing to Boomers enjoys a great deal of temporal elbow room. Boomers are appealed to with cultural references to ideas and events that took place between their pre-pubescent and young adult years (early 1950s to late 1970s). Gen Exers, on the other hand, seem to be locked into childhood and adolescence (about 1976 to 1985). Otherwise, how to explain Star Wars stamps? It's been 30 years, folks. Give it a rest.
