SOOOO
I made the Dean's List :) I am so proud of myself, and I can't wait to do it again this quarter :)
Things seem like they are falling into place - I have two interviews this week and made the Dean's List, and things with Boyfriend are so great. I think I have learned that I need to take a step back from things and just let them happen. It's hard for me to do for some reason, but I am happy to be learning things about myself.
I just finished this book:
and was incredibly disappointed by it. It actually made me disappointed for several days following. I think mostly because I thought it was a true story, and it turns out that it is not. Also, the writing and situations in the novel are so stereotypical and inconsistent. I feel that this could be a powerful book for someone.... but not me. I expected the element of education and English teachers would excite me and be inspirational. But it was actually the opposite... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone considering everything I have mentioned already coupled with the graphic situations of rape and incest. Overall, I would say to leave this one out of your library.
I have been obsesses with 16 and Pregnant lately. I can't get enough!!
