A Request
As all of you know, this last year has sucked massively: from my sister calling at 2:30 in the morning to ask if I'm gay, coming out to my parents, resigning my ordination, the "not-seizure" (or "other convulsive event" I like "not-seizure" better though), Amberle being kicked out of the apartment and having to find a new place, the hospital bills, the class situation...it's sucked.
BUT (this isn't meant to be emo, I promise!) throughout all of that, this community has kicked my ass (in a good way!) when I was down on myself and feeling hopeless, encouraged me, loved me, and just been beyond awesome.
Now, here's the thing. I suck at birthdays lately. Remembering them etc. And LJ just really doesn't give enough notice that a friend's bday is coming up.
So, what I'd like is to get everyone's bday, so I can make my own birthday calendar and not rely on LJ alerts. My early NYR that I fully intend to keep is to do better about birthdays, and you guys all mean so much to me. There's no way I could've gotten through this past year without you, and while that might sound overly dramatic, it's also completely and totally true.
