Zoe very much appreciated what her brothers were doing for her. More importantly, she knew how much Ami appreciated it. She, more than anyone else, understood what had caused her wife to stall, and there were moments she almost wanted to abandon the whole thing, when she felt like Ami was being pressured just so that Usa’s court would be complete.
However, when she looked into the oddly heavy paper bag that Nate had handed her, she wondered that the American was allowed to reproduce at all. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
