monday of doom update
well, i have yet to be able to track down my building manager again, but i did find her manager's secretary. we are being thrown out, but we're not being evicted. near as i can tell, it's like 'laid off: the home game.' all the inconvenience, none of the negative connotation. she stated that, in oregon at least, owners have the right to do this if they want to renovate or if (her words) "they have a family member that they want to put under a roof." she also explained that, normally if this situation arises, they simply move people into different units (at different buildings, if need be). unfortunately, they supposedly don't have any open units in any of their buildings.
