There are about 130 million people in Japan. Japan is about the size of California. There are 33 million people in california. 70% of Japan is too forested and mountainous to be habitable for large populations. All of this leads to Japan having an incredibly high population density. There are 100 million more people here than in California. 100 million.
Tokyo has a living population of about 12 million and the population doubles when the work day starts. There are people everywhere all the time and its crowded. I saw more people in one day in Shibuyu walking around than I will ever see in all of my combined trips to downtown houston. Its ridiculous. Will get photos soon. I hope.
