Roadtrip!
Pictures from last weekend. (Mostly taken by froggy_dear.) Clicky for more and larger.
Some points:
- Oregon is boring and gray like The Matrix.
- At night, in southern Oregon and Northern California, there is complete fucking darkness. That's really creepy, especially when you're in a rainy forest and the road literally says, "come back."
- Redwoods are big, but they've got nothing on our friend Mount Rainier, or Washington's rain forest.
- Maps of the redwood parks point out one particular "really big tree." One should not get one's hopes up. It's the same as the other really big trees except that it has a sign pointing to it.
- Astoria really does have kids riding on tiny bikes.
