month's worth of movies

Part 8 of The Continuing List of all the movies we've rented and what we thought of them (in order of return date)

Netflix's 5 star rating system: 1="Hated it," 2="Didn't like it," 3="Liked it," 4="Really liked it," 5="Loved it"

9/28 Lost: Season 2 (6 discs) "Really liked it"
See user pic for more info.

9/18 The Superman Collection (Max Fleischer): Disc 1 "Liked it"
None of the episodes have any story to speak of, but everything else is pretty nifty.

9/15 Batman the Animated Series: Vol. 2 (4 discs) "Really liked it"
Mark Hamill. Ninjas. Enough said.

9/12 Thumbsucker "Didn't like it"
I wanted to hear the Polyphonic Spree's soundtrack and didn't want to buy the album. Now I can say I saw a movie other than Matrix Revolutions with Keanu Reeves in which Keanu Reeves isn't the worst part of the movie.

9/11 Animaniacs: Vol. 1: Disc 1 "Didn't like it"
Okay, yeah, I guess it's not funny when you aren't twelve.

9/6 Star Trek: The Original Series: Vol. 37-40 "Really liked it"
"The Lights of Zetar" is particularly good. "The Could Minders" has a nice idea but plays out pretty boringly. "The Way to Eden" is hilarious (unintentionally, of course).

8/29 The Manchurian Candidate "Liked it"
We rented this because Robyn Hitchcock has a brief role. He did not disappoint, and had a habit of randomly showing up every now and then through the rest of the movie. Otherwise, the movie is surprisingly tolerable for a conspiracy theory "thriller."
