Once again, the continuing list of all the movies we've rented and what we thought of them (in order of return date).

Netflix's 5 star rating system: 1="Hated it," 2="Didn't like it," 3="Liked it," 4="Really liked it," 5="Loved it."

5/4 Star Trek: The Original Series: Vols. 11-14 "Really liked it"
"The Devil in the Dark" was easily the best episode from this batch - Spock mind-melds with a creature that's actually alien (rather than the human-that-happens-to-come-from-a-different-planet that you usually get in Star Trek), and there were characters that weren't soldiers or diplomats, which is even more bizarre for the show. And of course "Space Seed" (the Khan episode) kicks ass on principle.

5/3 Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle "Liked it"

4/27 The Bob Newhart Show: Season 1: Discs 2-3 "Really liked it"
Bob rocks.

4/24 Rambo: First Blood "Really liked it"
I've seen this movie a number of times, but Froggy hadn't (and didn't want to), so I made her watch it.

4/24 Mars Attacks! "Didn't like it"
The Martians have a great sense of humor, but apparently no one involved in making this movie did.

4/21 Eddie Izzard: Dress to Kill "Really liked it"

4/17 Dirty Harry "Liked it"

4/13 Mitch Hedberg: Mitch All Together "Really liked it"
This is a collection of bits filmed for Comedy Central, primarily the uncut version of his special (more than twice the length and much more entertaining than the edited version).

4/12 A History of Violence "Liked it"
The action scenes were amazing. But there were only four or five of them, and it's a loooong movie.

4/11 Justice League of America: Season 1: Disc 1 "Liked it"

4/10 Bottle Rocket "Liked it"
Owen Wilson's character is a guy I work with, and Luke Wilson's character needs to be slapped with a fish for sympathizing with the douche bag.

4/4 The Prisoner: Discs 9-10 "Loved it"
Best show ever. But. . . A typical television series has 22 episodes and sells on DVD, if recently released, for $30-$60 ($1.36-$2.73 per episode). The Prisoner has 17 episodes and sells for $150 ($8.82 per episode). And why does a 17-episode series need 10 discs? Bastards!

4/3 Batman: Mask of the Phantasm "Really liked it"

(continued from here)

justice league, netflix, mitch hedberg, batman, star trek, rambo, don siegel, dc, patrick mcgoohan, ted kotcheff, bob newhart, watching, tim burton, danny leiner, david cronenberg, dirty harry, eddie izzard, wes anderson
