Out of Tune
Well, Chris and Mark are in Spain, Kevin in England. I want to get over there as soon as I can. I can't wait for my fun to start. I've got a lot of changes going on here for me. Tonight I took down just about all of my posters in my room. Getting it ready for PJ. The closer I get to London the more its apparent that money is gonna be a huge problem. London is one of the most expensive cities in the world. I still have to buy stuff before I go like mp3 stuff, memory cards, new shoes, a haircut, adapter, etc.
I'm fresh off my worst semester ever. ever. But I'm in the middle of my best class ever. True, I'm only taking 1 class but I'm doing so much work and staying up to pace with it. Which i have never done with any other class.
I'm heading to Atlanta for a few days with my grandmother tomorrow. I'm excited and ready for a change of scenery and some fresh faces. No offense to the people I see all the time, but im in such a routine, change will be good for me. it should hold me over until london.
The closer I get to london the more work i realize i have to do...mostly packing. how do you pack for 4 months? i feel overwhelmed at times.
I've stopped drinking and smoking for about a week and a half now, because ive been sick. my congestion has gone away and all i have left is a sore throat, but other than that, i feel great. i dont know, i kinda feel purified.
I also have to buy a book on Confucianism.
My class is International Human Rights on Film and its my favorite class to date. Human Rights might be an avenue i could explore as a career. i always thought id end up in an american government agency. but ive always wanted to live abroad for long periods of time. perhaps i should consider international organizations?
if for some reason i meet somebody in london and they really like me or whatever and they offer me a job and an apt abroad to work for them or their organization, and help me get through the red tape, i would seriously consider dropping out of college and staying in london or abroad somewhere. if i can get the job i want without finishing college, why not right? friends and family? taht would be my main concern and i could see myself going either way...come home or staying.
