I fell back asleep thinking about it... and I havent been able to stop since.
Ivey called me at 3:20 last night saying that she was in trouble. She snuck out of her house to visit some guy at his apartment that she recently met. Well, she was about to leave when she realized that the bolt on the door broke when they locked it and she had no way of getting out. Jumping out the balcony wasnt an opition since it was on the 2nd story... so she called me. Now keep things in mind here... there is a time limit because she borrowed her mom's car and she had to leave to work soon. Also, this guy tha Ivey is seeing... he is passed out in bed so he is no help.
I sit up as Im listening to Ivey and try to figure out how to handle this one. I take the address down and some quick directions and I decide to head over there. I was planning on taking the truck with a ladder and helping her down that way but when I stepped outside, I saw that the truck was blocked in the driveway and that only my car would be accessable that morning. I head over there in my car trying to conventrate on how to go about things rather being pissed off... yeah... not so much.
I get there and I see her leaning over the balcony... she was drunk... I wanted to throw up at the sight of her. I put down my flashlight, put the screwdriver that I got from my trunk in my pocket and I started climbing. It caught Ivey by surprise and her infamous words of "I didnt know you could do that" came out again. I pulled myself over the balcony bars and proceeded inside. I pulled out the screwdriver out of my pocket and within a few minutes, I had taken apart the bolt lock. Ivey gathered her things and walked out the front door while I locked it back from the inside and came back down from the balcony.
She kept saying thank you over and over again as we were walking back toward our cars. She started walking close to me putting her arm in mine but I just kept walking trying not to make eye contact with her. I really wanted to throw up at this point. ALl the way to her car she kept saying thank you and I could feel it start to boil inside. I watched her drive off and I went across the complez to my car. I went home and as soon as I got back into bed, my phone started to ring again. It was her ringer... and even though I knew better, I answered. She continued with saying thank you and that she was sorry for making me get up and I told her to drop it then. She kept questioning and continued on so I told her... I told her how I felt.
I told her that I was pissed off. I told her that I was pissed off becaause for the last 2 months, I could have begged all that I wanted to but she could have cared less about spending just 5 minutes with me. And suddenly tonight she needs me... and I offer to go over there and there wasnt a single objection at all. There were some more things said but she finally understood that I was pretty upset with the situation. How things changed from us spending almost every other day together to not seeing her for 2 fucking months until she needed me. She didnt see anything wrong... but she knew that I wasnt happy...
I told her that I was glad she called me and that I didnt want her to hesitate to call me again if she ever needed anything but I dont know how that is going to work out again. She was caught off guard by my words that night but she was also drunk so I dont know. She fell asleep while I was talking so I dont know how much she will remember... she called me back to say good night when I hanged up...
If I wouldnt have gotten in her that raining night over 4 months ago... she wouldnt even be a part of my life... why did I get in?
God I miss her...
