When did daylight savings time switch back?
I woke up today at 1:05pm only to realize I had a rehearsal at 1:00pm. "Shit! You've got to be kidding me!" said I as I threw on some clothes and ran out the door. I made it to campus in 5 minutes and started the bike locking process. My friend and came up to me to let me know something. "That's cool man, but I'm really late." "Yeah, me too. It's almost 12:20." So, now I'm in the music library and I'm really starting to worry about this my upper divisional in December. I need to learn these two classical pieces, play along with a solo I transcribe, and improvise on some tune (hopefully of my choosing). This is where my professors decide whether I'm make "satisfactory progress" toward my degree. I'm so worried that I'm not going to pass.
On the bright side, I'm playing in two awesome combos this year and my arranging class is the shit beyond words. I have so many ideas in my head that I need to get out. Jamal and I have been writing tunes together and I'm really excited about those. My goal right now is to get through this upper divisional so I can start doing recitals every semester where I can showcase my compositions and arrangements. I'm also playing a lot of gigs.
