good to see you're writing again ... and branching away from rhyme schemes. you should try "intro to poetry writing" with dr. carrillo.
i had him last year, and he was awesome. i'm now in "advanced poetry writing" with him. basically, all of the class brings in copies of their poems, and everyone critiques them. and everyone i knew in the class (almost all of the class) got an A or B. so it's not like he's strict. he teaches you some new techniques, and you learn from the other writers. he'll teach that in the spring semester though ... it's dr. martin teaching it this fall (and i'm sure you could join the class right now, if you have room for it). T-TH at 1:30-2:45. dr. martin is incredible from what i've heard (and from the short amount of time that i met him). so he'll have a lot to teach.
anyways, just a thought. you could do it next year if it fits in your schedule better. but it really helped me develop my poetry, without making it too serious. keep it up paul.
