So I've been catching up with the new
Dr. Who season twenty-seven with
Christopher Eccleston. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I was worried about him playing the Dr. as too dark and brooding, but he's really pretty damn good. Even if I'm not always thrilled with all the writing and I'm still not sold on the
new TARDIS control room, I'm still very fond of
the old one. The Dalek episode was pretty great but I'm happy knowing that it's not actually the last we will see of the Daleks even if they make it look that way.
After watching the Dalek episode I got to poking around on-line
Googling Dalek. I almost made a mess in my pants when I saw
this and
this. Oh yeah I have to have this! It's a fucking
Dr. Who miniatures game, and the
rules are available to download for free. Sadly the miniatures are of course rather expensive and much easier to get in the UK than in the US. However if you want to try the game out on the cheap you can download and print out a set of
paper tent miniatures (PDF).
