Slumberland

In Slumberland, it's always night,
for there's no need for any light.
Robots take care of the place,
a single eye makes up their face.
All they do is wade in lakes,
weeding out real dreams from the fakes.
These dreams are rooted very deep,
and when found, emit a singe 'beep'.
The robot then lets out a cry,
and with his claws begins to pry.
He pulls and yanks with all his might,
for frightened dreams put up a fight.
And if the robot eventually wins,
he tosses the dream in the collection bins.
It's very important to collect the dream,
for if it isn't, doom is seen.
The thought will burry down in the ground,
leaving only a little mound
of all it's love, kindness, and goodwill,
turning it into heartless swill.
And then it will burst forth from the murk,
a vile creature that causes extra work.
This does not please robots,
so they must fight the horrid thoughts.
The ensuing fight is an amazing scene,
with red hot lasers, and blood that's green.
Nightmares are tough to beat,
and sometimes will escape the heat.
So when you have one, just remember,
the robots took down that nightmare's number,
and that when its done scaring girl and boy,
they'll get it back to utterly destroy.
