Gobble gobble.... chop
Guess what? On the way home from IUP, I got two freaking tickets: one for speeding and the other one for not wearing a safety belt. It was kind of a shitty situation because I inadvertently took off my harness to reach the glove compartment, and I forgot to put it back on by the time the officer walked over. Obviously I tried to plead my case, but the cop didn’t believe a word I said. F-WORD! The whole thing cost me 230 bucks. Ouch…. Happy freakin holidays.
The Redners held the family Thanksgiving dinner at their mansion.
My brother never really talks to me too much, but I finally had a conversation with him. It was about the Steelers (obviously), because that’s really the only thing we have in common (that I know of). I know he cares about me, but he never seems to show any kind of emotion. It’s pretty immature to take out your hatred on someone who had nothing to do with the past. He has become a little better, but I still feel like it’s a lost cause. It was worse for my mom, but since they accepted her into their circle… she gets wrapped up in the glamour of it all. On the phone I hear her bragging about going to dinner with the Redners, or talking about the Redners. It makes me kind of jealous I guess, because I've always felt like I was in my brothers shadow.
On the home front, I’m getting to see most of my friends. It sucks when only four or five of them actually show that they exist. People really do change. I’m not the only one with a cell phone or a computer you know!
So what did I do while I was home?:
I spent a lot of time with Chad and Kristen. We hung out, watched movies and spent some time at Berks Lanes... nothing too crazy exciting I guess. On Saturday, 10 of us went glow bowling. It was fun as usual, but I wish I could actually win some of my money back. LOL.
I'm heading back to school a little later tonight. I have classes at IUP until December 15th... and then I'm home until January 17th, 2006. I can't wait for X-Mas and New Years!
