Overall, my weekend in pittsburgh was pretty blah.
Other than working at 2 football games, I watched movies on HBO or just chilled. I didn't really get to see Jason at all. I feel kind of strange basically living in his apartment with no one around. I tried calling my friends, but no one could really talk either.
The Pitt Panther game was normal... no big problems. The students like to sneak in beer, but that's pretty typical.
The Steelers game on the other hand was insane.
Some drunk dude tripped over his feet, and fell face first onto the concrete.... 10 feet below him. It was scary, because I witnessed the guy slamming into the ground and I was the first one there. I noticed that he was unconscious and bleeding quite profusely, so I yelled over to a police officer standing a few rows down, and he contacted the EMS people via Walkie Talkie. I immediately checked his pulse (still alive) and made sure that he didn't move (could of had a broken neck). I had some of my other security associates block off the area, so no one could walk through the 4 foot puddle of blood that acumulated. It happened sooo quick and it was very disturbing. A group of Heinz Field people sprinted over to me and I told them what had happened. The medical crew finally arrived and they rushed him to the ER. I couldn't tell for sure, but it looked like he broke his nose, broke his upper mandible, lost several teeth and ripped up his lip. It was gross, but my adrenalin was pumping so hard that I didn't even pay attention to that.
I hope he's ok....
:(
Sigh.... the game itself was pretty entertaining, BUT THE STEELERS LOST!!! FUCKING TOMMY MADDOX! I made some new contacts within the team, so it's looking better and better every day.
6FC!!!
On a side note~ I met a high ranking Home Land Security Official (Yes, from the GVT). They were making sure that the stadium was living up to the the national standards. It's awful to think that a terrorist would want to target 65 thousand people at a game.
