Homecoming 2005 was absolutely insane!
On Friday I threw a huge kegger. Originally it was supposed to be a pajama party, but it didn’t really catch on as much as I had hoped. Due to the weather and a cracked windshield, my friends from Reading had some issues driving out to Indiana. Of course they still came, but it would have been awesome to see them a little earlier.
I invited a lot of people for what would be my biggest, craziest gathering ever at IUP. Brian Slocum and I bought a barrel of PBR and setup the beer pong table. My house is pretty small, but it was arranged so that it wouldn’t be so snug.
Front porch- Place to drink or chill
Living room- Asshole
Kitchen- Beer Pong
Basement- Flip Cup
Bedroom- Beer Slut
Things were quiet at first, but then KAPOW! My 19608ers arrived, my IUPers arrived, and then a LOT of random college students arrived. It was pretty scary at first, because it went from being semi filled, to EFFIN PACKED almost immediately! I didn’t want to get in trouble, but it happened sooooo fast! At one point I counted 75 people, but there was a continuous flow of bodies throughout the evening. Around 11:30pm, a girl fell down my front steps and a fight almost broke out because some drunken ass thought it was intentional. HELLO DRAMA! After I mediated the problem, I told them that the keg was almost kicked and they left. Now it was just me and my closest buddies.
I’m kind of glad it went as it did, because my landlord showed up out of nowhere. I could have been evicted due to the breach of my lease contract, but I sweet talked him into letting the festivities continue. (I RULE!) It was awesome.
On a side note: I collected 3 bucks from everyone and made a decent amount of dough.
Chad, Kristen, Jasin, Tracey, Jon, Jeff, LQ and her friend Abbie crashed at my house for the weekend. We didn’t get to bed until 4:30 or 5:00am, and then about half of the group went to Kegs and Eggs on Saturday morning. Mmmmmmm… beer and toast for breakfast! Usually the parade is fun and enjoyable, but the rain really made it annoying. Instead we went back to my crib, watched TV and headed to Fire Mountain for lunch.
After mass consumption of foodage, the crew went shopping at the Indiana Mall. Woo hoo! By this point, our eyelids felt like steel. It felt good to be around some familiar faces, and I began to have a little crush on LQ’s buddy from Ship. Yeah, I can’t help it… she’s gorgeous and has a wonderful personality! I wish things would be easier for me in that department, because I think way too much.

Tracey and Jasin left early to attend a family function.
We decided to have dinner at the Coney, because it would avoid the cover charges and allow us to find an appropriate spot before the crowds started to form. Even though I don’t work there anymore officially, I still have a lot of pull with the management. They give me the best tables, the fastest service and kiss my ass like I’m VIP or something. Hehe, I hope they keep doing that.
It was a great time! I haven’t danced that much in a very long while, and its neat to see the people watching me do my thang. I’m a pretty good dancer and some individuals can’t believe how well I can move!
It started getting hot, and the building started to fill up like mad crazy. It became harder to move and breathe because it seemed like the population doubled every five minutes. Around 12am, the group decided to go back to my apartment to play card games. It was absolutely incredible; we pushed our way to the front patio of the Coney, and the line outside extended over 200 feet. I cannot even comprehend how crammed that place would be...
The six of us played about 5 rounds of asshole, and then passed out from exhaustion! Most of us averaged only like 4 hrs of sleepage in two days!
Sunday:
My friends ate lunch at Subs N Suds and then departed from Indiana.
Out of all of the Homecoming experiences I’ve had, I’d rank 2005 #1 or #2. It’s going to be strange when October comes around next year. Will I come back for another adventure?.... WHO KNOWS????
