I'm not really enjoying squash this season. I think it might be time for a change of sports. Maybe I'll take up tennis.
There's an Indian guy on my team (two actually) and he just rubs me the wrong way. I'm sure he's a perfectly nice guy, but everything he says just riles me for inexplicable reasons. He called me up at 7:05 to ask if we were actually playing at this particular set of courts. I was on in the car on the way there and wondered if he'd make it there by 7:30. As it turned out he was already there and I just don't know why he expected me to also be there at that time. In fact, every phrase that comes from his mouth annoys me. His exclaiming throughout the match and from the sidelines is odd, useless and offputting.
And this is all the more irritating to me because he plays a beautiful game of squash. He has amazing, fluid shots and good anticipation in gameplay. Why is he otherwise so irritating?
