Let it be known that a joke I tell in this entry is completely mine and not in any way stolen from Beej, who was more on the ball than I was. Ahem...

It's been an interesting weekend. I have fulfilled my duties as an honourary geek by setting up a webserver. (Stop that sniggering at my insertion of "honourary" in there.) It's an experience, let's face it, I'll probably have to do again, but I'm completely over it and in no way want to spend my life doing it.

The squash tournament went well. Only one person got smacked in the head and he went on to win his section. I'm not sure there's any correlation between the two. I played okay, but never really expected to win even one match (although I did). And we all drank some quite nice red wine afterwards out of thoroughly inappropriate glasses, which made it all the better.

While my bestest buddies were off camping this weekend, I had a camp evening of my own (That's totally my joke and totally not Beej's.) at Andi's birthday. Basically I was one of those rare species that pop up from time-to-time; the hetrosexual - or "breeder" as I like to call us. Spent most of the evening talking with a my hairdresser and her friend about things that I really didn't expect to be talking about and that are best not spoken of here. I crashed and burnt and was in bed by midnight. (Hey, I'd been up since 7 and played squash for hours. Gimme a break already!)

And thus, my weekend was filled.

camping, geekdom, squash
