Wow, what a week.

This has been a crazy week. Mon and Tues I worked as Art Dept on a Home Depot commercial. 12 hr days. I dont mind being specialty art dept for puppets or props, but I dont really think I am cut out for general art dept stuff. Cant say that I like it.

Wed The Puckin Fuppet Show opened for a band. We opened for Blair Crimmins and the Hookers (who are actually really awesome rag time stuff and you should check them out) at the Star Bar. That was a lot of fun. Madison J. Cripps and Valerie Meiss came down from Asheville to stay with me and do the show. It was great having them visit. I did 7 puppet shows back to back that night. It was wild.

I also started back at The Center for Puppetry Arts in the puppet shop on Wed. We are building the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer show based on the old Rankin Bass stop motion film. Its really awesome.

Last night we did The Puckin Fuppet Show at its new home at WonderRoot. The new venue is going to take some work. However we were SO LUCKY! My usual hosts had conflicts and Leslie Carrara-Rudolph was in town doing her amazing one woman show at the Center for Puppetry Arts called Wake Up Your Weird. If you have the chance you should really check her show out this week before she is gone. Leslie plays Abby Cadabby on Sesame Street and is an incredibly gifted performer and really sweet person. She had agreed to do a piece at the slam which was awesome to begin with. I ran into her at the Center and with my fingers crossed asked her if she would be interested in guest hosting the show and she said YES!

She was AWESOME as our host and I feel so honored to have been able to have her be part of the show. I really cant thank her enough.

We showed some Bob and Carl: SciFI Janitors at the show and they were very well received.

So I am pretty beat after all that and am taking some RnR today.

phew
