Well, I found out the bug in XP/2k that causes Hyper Threading to stay on even after disableing it in the bios. If you go into device manager, and look under the "Computer" tab and you will see "Multiprocesser ACPI". See, even if you disable HT, it still has the multiprocesser driver enabled in windows. What you need to do is use the standard ACPI driver in XP, and under 2000, use the "Uniprocesser ACPI" driver. After you do that, restart 1-2 times, and sudenly you have a normal Pentium 4, and can play games like System Shock 2 and Red Alert 2 again.
