BOOKCROSSING - THE SECOND YEAR

“For him that stealeth, or borroweth and returneth not, this book from its owner … let him be struck with palsy, & all his members blasted ….Let bookworms gnaw his entrails in token of the Worm that dieth not, & when at last he goes to his final punishment, let the flames of Hell consume him forever”

I dunno what it is with me and this dog - it's being close on two months and he really left a huge void in my soul. I was painfully reminded of him again when I sat down on this chair in front of my computer and saw a few dog hairs still sticking to the upholstery.

Yet another wonderful, inspiring BookCrossing post by mrbaggins1! I often get disillusioned with BookCrossing, when books get lost or people refuse to journal, and especially with "wild releases" (I am yet to have one caught), but you always remind me of why I joined in the first place, so I guess I'll be sticking with it.

Btw, I am most saddened by the news of Mr Baggins' passing. I've been absent from LJ a lot of late and I had no idea. My heart breaks for you: I know just how attached we are to our pet-children. Deepest condolences.

I miss him more than I ever thought possible but life is life and one just to deal with whatever comes your way. I buried his ashes in my garden here, http://www.flickr.com/photos/43066879@N06/4713230185, and still light a candle or leave a flower regularly in remembrance. How pathetic is that for a middle-aged man! I'm glad you liked the bookcrossing post -Stick with it - the silent travelers are the ones that makes the most difference in peoples life. Regards to Bailey
