As always with these lists, there's a preponderance of recent stuff, because that's what people recall most easily.
My favourite on the list is #1. I'm sure you'll love it! I'm surprised you haven't read the Doris Lessing. I'm not a big fan myself, though I loved The Grass is Singing (not on this top 60 list).
Not reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" is one of those strange anomalies in my education I suppose! It was my youngest daughters set work in matric years ago, I sell the workbooks and study guides to schools (which was developed and paid for by the company I manage).....
Oh dear. Only consolation is that I've got a copy (ex-warehouse) on Mt TBR!
