Some photographs of my travels today through Jozi, the city of gold
A view from the Constitutional Court towards Hillbrow with the Johannesburg tower in the background. Other cities have mountains and beaches as distinctive landmarks. Jozi has the tower and mine dumps!
Another view of the tower with the Old Fort in the foreground. The fort used to be a political prison in the dark days of oppression in this beautiful country and now forms part of the Constitutional Court complex which serves as a beacon of hope in the new democratic South Africa. If these walls could speak.......
Also part of the Old Fort. I played around with Photoshop and got quite a nice simple image with strong lines.
Two buildings in Mayfair dating from the 1930's that's in serious need of tender loving care. Sadly I think it's already too late - if the exteriors looks like this one can only imagine what it must look like inside. Yet, looks can be deceiving, I noticed a number of television satellite dishes on the exterior.
