Ran Ronnie Ran
I picked up this movie called Ran by Akira Kurosawa. I'm really looking forward to watching it. Supposedly, it is Kurosawa's rendition of Shakespeare's King Lear. It looks promising. I've been going through this fit of watching old movies. I'm talking OLD movies like back to the 50's. It's not just foreign films, either. Are these old movies just that much better than current films? I watched The Exorcism of Emily Rose tonight. It was based on a true story. My friends thought it was great, but I thought it was okay at best. Why am I so pessimistic?
