So . . .
The new position at work is going really well. For the first time, in a long time, I am actually happy with my job and where my career seems to be heading. Also, for the last couple of months, I actually do not want to leave Wal-mart. (I know. You are shocked!)
Anyway, I enjoy having something to do all day. There is never a shortage of work to be done. Furthermore, I am learning so much right now and this will definitely help me once I go into management. My stockers take care of keeping the department shelves full (when we actually have the items) which frees me to handle the paperwork, price changes, and other miscellaneous supervisory duties I have.
On a non-Wal-mart note, we are starting a new ministry at church and I am looking forward to being a part of it. If I do this, I will be stepping down from my teaching duties for the 5th and 6th grade Sunday School class. I believe this will be for the best because I am just not passionate about teaching right now. I am happy to fill in once in a while; but, I currently do not have a desire to teach "full-time." Besides, I have come to the realization that I am not meant to teach younger children. My heart is for teenagers and college students. I believe that is where my ministry calling is for now. So please help me pray about this.
Also, on the subject of pray, I have found myself being rather lazy in my faith of late. I haven't prayed and stayed in the Word as I should. Pray that I will get focused on growing in my faith. And stay on my butt to hold me accountable!
