A mini rant, more to come later
You know, I really dislike seeing a complete and total lack of larger people in music videos, even for genres like electronic dance music. I used to go to the Detroit Electronic Music Festival and there are tons of people of all sorts of different sizes there. I love dancing to electronic dance music, especially hardstyle. But there is just a lack of representation from people that look like me. And that's not even a "there should be more black people in EDM music videos" gripe. I mean, I'm trying to lose a bit of weight, doing about 50-100 push-ups a day now trying to slowly build strength and I'm soon going to be starting an aerobic routine. But still, it just feels really bad to want to dance to music and notice that absolutely no one in any of the videos I watch look anything like me. And I know they're out there. Anyway, rant over.
