Hmmmm
Just something I'm noticing right now: it's interesting to me that there still aren't many images of interracial couples when you watch commercials on television. I wonder if that's a conscious decision by the people that make the commercials or an unconscious one because that's the way that society has programmed us to be. If it's a conscious one that means that the people that are making commercials are also contributing to the way that people view such things as interracial couples in the media. If they aren't then that means they're unwittingly doing it. I just wouldn't want to think that they're doing it on purpose, to try and put the subconscious suggestion into peoples minds that they should only partner with other people of the same ethnicity. But maybe that's just me being optimistic and idealistic.
