Thank you so much for this! I've been so looking forward to it, but there was still some apprehensiveness about it, much as I like Robert Downey. Now I can just be excited! And thanks for the staying after the credits tip; I almost always do, but I'm not always with folks who want to. I wish more movies rewarded actually looking at who all put the movies together. *g*

No problems!

I too like staying for the credits & Im all in favour of putting little tidbits at the end so that people are reminded how much effort goes into making movies.

hurrah! We're going to see it this weekend. My trepidations about the film was that it was an all-Marvel production. And we had such glorious fare as The Fantastic Four...for which I still demand an apology for. Possibly financial compensation and an ad in Variet.

However the trailers have looked brilliant, and I'm a fan of Robert Downey Jr. (If you haven't seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang run to your nearest store.) So I was sure his scenes would be good, but I didn't know if Marvel or Avi Arad would try kneecapping the film with a sledgehammer.

So, yay. I have some peace of mind.:)

It lives up to the expectations delievered in the trailers for sure, although there a few scenes missing in the final cut (but none that really make you dissapointed).

The first FF wasn't too bad, but if you're talking Surfer then yeah...I'll have an apology for that too plzkthnxbai.

KKBB is excellent, im a big Kilmer fan as well the 2 of them were fantastic together in it.

So you liked it then? ;)

It's the only trailer I've seen recently that I actually want to go back and watch. Plus RDJ - I can't wait.

I've been looking forward to this as well. Thank you for the review! RDJ sounds awesome in it.

M. also very much wants to see it because he says Iron Man was traditionally a red-bashing alkie. I'll take him at his word. Probably no reds in the movie, though. :D

I live to give. ;)

And RDJ is Stark, hes like Viggo was to Aragorn or Brandon Lee was to Eric Draven (The Crow)...you just can't imagine anyone else playing him now.

M. is most definately correct, just replace Reds for Afgan-ies & there is some "foreshadowing" to his alcohol abuse sprinkled throughout the movie.
