A Brief Intermenzo.
I wish it were more brief. I realized I dont use this thing as much as I used to, oh well probably a good mental reason for that some where. Anyway, if you must know the last post in which the drinking extravaganza was laid out only happened about half the time, one day I got sick, one day I was broke, none the less I had fun.
Oh well, here we are now at winter break and on the threshold of semester deux in the grand social expiriment known as College. I went into this semester like most people probably did, first time on basically my own, and looking at it as the next step in life but not taking it quite that seriously. I walked on campus and my first thought was, wow look at all this ass.. not, hey gee wow look at the size of the library.

The concept that this is my life in the real world is ever present, it stays in the back of my head and pops up occasionally, but for the most part I dont pay it much attention. I've always been one to prioritize and do things at my own pace and with my own ways to get things done. Sure I knew if I fucked this up i'd probably be right back in richwood at the end of the year, I've seen it happen to quite a few people now. Although I also wasn't going to just sit around and study all day.
College is one of the last steps between being that kid in high school and the real world. I'm not ready to stop having fun yet. Besides this was first semester, it was my way of looking around and getting adjusted, hell I dont know many people that goto school their first semester and dominate their schedule.. well I do, but they're also the kids that hang out in the basement of the Student Center and play D&D all day and when they're not playing D&D they're talking about D&D.
So, the great social reckoning of the Fall 2005 ended up like this.
August 2005 I start with 17 hours a week, no biggie, the hours are no problem.
I drop to 14 hours due to the fact the Journalism class I was in A, was a horrible class, some 60 some people packed into a small Smith Hall room that was hot as fuck, and B, I woke up one day and went... i'm a fuckin PoliSci major, why am I in this class.
I end up completing 9 of my remaining 14 hours.
Not bad all in all, that puts me somewhere around a 67% completion raitio, which is 17 above what I need for the year.
UNI101(1) - No Credit - Bullshit class, I went to it maybe 4 times, I technically failed it before the MidTerm but didn't drop for some reason.
ASC Lab(1) - No Credit - I slacked off here, and then did some bad adding before the Fall break and thought I would get my 15 hours. I would have only ended with 14, so i stopped going only to be told like 3 days before the end of finals that they give people 1 hour if they're short that much... bullshit there. Oh well.
IT101(3) - F - Quite possibly the easiest class EVER, but my professor was a towel head and i couldn't understand him so i didn't go. Took the tests online and I fucked around and missed one, thereby needing to ACE the final to pass, but I didn't and ergo didn't pass.
PSC104(3) - B - I was supprised to still have a B in this class, I thought for sure it would be a C after the final, but I managed to middle of the field the final.
THE112(3) - A - Saw that coming, and actually, I retract earlier statement, this is the easiest class EVER!
MTH095(3) - Credit - doesn't count for anything but hours. Before the final I was at around 470 points and you need 700 to pass the course and the final is 300 points. Some how I managed to nail it, or the professor just passed me for some reason or another.

So, the Spring of 06 is going to be a little less time at the bars and clubs and a little more time reading the books rather than sitting around going, well fuck i've nothing to do. Not awhole lot, but enough, again taking life too seriously is a dreadful thing to do.

Atmost i'll have 3 class Monday, Tuesday and Wenesday and 2 on Thursday and Friday. Not a big deal, I pulled off 3 days in a row that had 3 classes each this semester. And from the way I understand it most of my professors are gonna be hellaciously easy in the coming months, so thats really nice to hear. A couple of them have the potential to suck though too.. so.... we'll see.
