Right children....here is a little something that I did that is really interesting. Read the scenario I'm about to write, and then do the following.
You are walking through a forest and you find a house... (describe the house)...you go inside the house and the first room is empty except for three objects...(what are the objects? describe them)...outside the house a bear wanders by...(what do you do with the bear?)...back in the house you find a cup... (describe the cup, what do you do with the cup?)
So you need to:
- Describe the house.
- Describe the three objects you find in the house.
- Say what you do with the bear.
- Describe the cup.
- Say what you do with the cup.
I'm gonna give you all two days to do this in your journal and then I will explain what it all means. Its really interesting. I did it in a workshop at the "Pink Picnic" I went to over the weekend. This is what I wrote to give you an idea.....
I am walking through a forest on my own and I come across a house. It is an old, condemned house, the windows are broken, the door s off its hinges and the thatch is worn and needs replacing. The garden is overgrown and needs to be fixed up. I go inside the house and go into a room to find it empty except for three items lying on the floor. There is a bright new silver coin, a medal and an old sepia photo of an army scene. I am looking at the items when I see through the window a great big bear. I go outside and talk to it. When the bear has gone I go back inside the house and find in another room a cup. The cup is a mug, it’s yellow and chipped and the handle has been broken off. I take it outside to a stream I can hear in the garden, and use it to get some water to drink; the water is crystal clear, and pure.
Have a go at this because it is sooo interesting. Look forward to reading what you all write!
