My Rockin Weekend

My Friday was just crazy, I was going to run out to a friends house and run a short game until my Wife canceled her plans to go to a hockey game with my Dad.  The problem was that my Dad was really looking forward to going to the game with someone that really likes hockey, so if no one went with him he probably would not have gone.  So I made the decision to go with him.  Don't get me wrong, it wasn’t torture, the Cornell vs. Harvard game is probably the most sought after sporting event in our city.  The game was amazing with Cornell making the winning goal in the last 93 seconds of the game.  It did make my Friday evening a little hectic, until
judd_sonofbert called and told me that we were leaving in the morning and not in the next five minutes as planned.

The trip to Jiffycon was amazingly quick,
judd_sonofbert and I had a lot of time to talk and it just made the car ride there fly by.  When we showed up at the Con we said hello to everyone and signed up for our games.  We both started off with a game of Mechaton, something neither one of us got a chance to play at GenCon.  I being a lover of Classic Battletech was just itching to check this game out.  I am not sure what was more fun, playing the game, or building the little mechs.  Unfortunately I did make the mistake of making the smallest number of mechs with the highest number of points.  This made me the instant target of everyone at the very beginning of the game.  So I got pounded on for a bit before they started to turn on each other.  The second game
judd_sonofbert ran a Dictionary of Mu game and I played in Carry.  I have also been waiting to play Carry since GenCon.  I played in a game of Carry before Nathan finished it back at Dreamation and I was as excited as hell to see how it came out.  So this was my first chance to sit down and really play the finished product.  I played in a Demo at GenCon, but 15 minutes is not the same thing as four hours and damn it was awesome.  I was only sad that I couldn’t pick it up right there at Jiffycon.  I'll end up talking about everything a little bit more in the Sons of Kryos Podcast later on.

Ok, gotta run, I'll pick up where I left off later on today.
