So, I haven't posted just stuff in a while. I should make another post about Intercon Mid-Atlantic, which was moderately awesome, since then, though, we've been busy. And, given that it's Thanksgiving and all, I should be thankful for what I, we, have. Well, I have a super
citabria, but more on that below.
- Early last week, we had wild_heart drop by for a few days. It was a very pleasant visit that also gave us an excuse to find a good seafood restaurant down towards New London. Also, we cleaned up the condo a bit, which gave us some incentive to clean up more, and, well, we better stop or this might be a habit.
Also, citabria took some amusement out of showing off my sock drawers. Still haven't figured out what's so strange with them. I just happen to have a lot of socks, that's all.
On the other hand, I heard appreciative things about my man cave. If only I had it set up to have cable down there. - The rest of the week was mundane but we did do some exploration on how to hang our respective mask collections on our walls and so some other cleaning. citabria's foot started acting up so we didn't go too far.
We also caught up on some TV. I've become fond of watching Life, Life on Mars and True Blood. We've been recording Heroes but I'm not sure how good it is this season yet. Anyone know? - Saturday, of course, we were watching football.
- Sunday we decided to get out of the house after all...
Shiny Red Corvette
We went to the Connecticut Auto Show so citabria could look at cars. Her Intrigue is getting on and eventually she's going to need something new. It was a dealer, rather than corporate event, but there were lots of things to look at and sit in, including this Corvette. Which was funny because she couldn't find the door handle to get out after she got in.
Once she got in, though, she looked straight ahead to the Toyota section and saw something that...
She got her NASCAR fix
...got her her NASCAR fix. It was real, but maybe not functional, and it was interesting seeing how stripped down and refitted the inside of a 'stock car' actually is.
- Early this week was pretty quiet--there was a lot of cleaning and shopping in anticipation of today. I took citabria to her belly dancing class and may or may not have done some additional shopping. :-)
- Today was the big day, though. citabria likes to cook a big Thanksgiving dinner: turkey, stuffing, five-eight side dishes, desssert. It was our first married Thanksgiving. :-)
She started reasonably early and we were eating by 7:30. Everything except the stuffing was great. It really is wonderful to be treated to her cooking and I'm very thankful we're together.
We also got to watch the Macy's parade, the original Miracle on 34th Street and relax a lot.
citabria just went to lie down, a little sore from exerting herself today. Tomorrow, we'll celebrate Buy Nothing Day in the best way--staying at home and buying nothing! :-D
