I had an odd yet pretty good weekend. Bill's (my bros and sis's father) father and his wife came for the week, and so last weekend everyone came up to see them. We went out to dinner Saturday night to a nice steak house a few minutes up the road, there were 11 people. There was me, my mom, chris, kate and her husband mark, andy, bill, bill sr and his wife edna, bills good friend John, and bill's friend/guy staying will bill for a while until he finds a house for his family. I think we arrived at the 7 Stars Steakhouse at 7:30pm and got home around 10:45pm, at which point we all sat on the deck, and certain people drank and smoked (cigarettes, cigars and other special things), until about 1:30am, at which point I had to drive Andy home, as chris and kate and mark were staying at our house. So after I get back from driving Andy home, I log onto WOW (world of warcraft) and am up until about 4am playing with Andy and other people online.
This is the first time I have really spent any great amount of time with Bill Senior and Edna, and they seem like nice people. At one point during dinner, after we had literally scared the rest of the people out of the restaurant, Edna took me aside and said she wanted to get to know her other grandson, which was very nice as I, obviosly, am not. So I talked to her for a few mintues before helping her stumble back to her seat.
And just to tell this amusing story of how we cleared out the restaurant, my brother Andy was telling a story that happened earlier in the day. He and Chris were playing pool when Andy spotted his cat Hobbes running around outside witha chipmunk in his mouth. So Andy ran out to get hobbes to let go of the chipmunk, at whoch point the chipmunk runs into the sump pump pipe. So Chris runs to the basement and starts the sum pump at which point the chipmunk flies across the yard, ass first, past the cat and lands in a puddle of water and runs off scared. So my brother is telling this story ever louder while a table of 10 other people erupt in laughter for probably 5 minutes straight. Soon after, the floor cleared quickly.
So anyway, that was my saturday night, odd but nice, and I am off to write a 5 page paper on a book I havn't read...
