WE ARE...PENN STATE!!!
Indeed, Penn State is back as a college football powerhouse. For those of you that don't know, Penn State beat Ohio State 17-10 in Happy Valley yesterday. This was the first time since 2001 that PSU topped OSU. The game was AWESOME. 110,000+ fans were going nuts. It was SO cold here...like 47 degrees and raining. Now, PSU is the only undefeated team in the Big Ten. Hopefully, PSU can continue its resurgence in the college football arena, which would make me really happy. They have a 'tough' game against Michigan in Ann Arbor next week.
Before the game, PSU has the event called "Tail Great" which is to feature the BLUE BAND. It was awesome seeing the band play again. PSU's Blue Band has 275 members and has a sound that is just incredible. They were playing "classical' music which was FANTASTIC. OSU's Marching Band played as well. OSU's band is completely BRASS and Percussion...which is an interesting sound. Thier director, Dr. Woods, is a PSU alumni as well, so there is a great comrodarie between the bands, as it should be. None the less, the Blue Band will be given an award at their Homecoming for being the Best Collegiate Marching Band in the country!!!! Dr. Bundy has done wonders with this band and he is a person as well. (see, he was my advisor in college and i really loved him then...plus, he was one of my conducting teachers that gave me alot of positive encouragement).
Anyways, I am going to go. Pennsylvania is alot of fun, I got to spend the day with my best friend from college, who I miss tremendously. Now, I am at my parent's house chilling...I slept real well last night, which was surprising.
I won't be in school tomorrow, but will be there close to 2 pm, which means that afterschool practice will happen.
