Now that juries are over, it's time for an update. We'll start with juries. This past week has been very busy getting ready for juries. I've had to practice with all three girls whose voice juries I accompanied. We had a studio recital on Tuesday, then I went to two lessons each this week. They all sang well this morning, so that was good. I put in lots of time this week and that's always got b/c I get paid by the hour.

My horn jury was so-so. It could have been better, it could have been worse. I wanted to do really well on it b/c I wanted to prove to my teacher that I can play. I've felt this semester that he looks down on me as a player b/c I'm not as good as the other two freshmen horn majors. I just wanted to show him that I can play. He listened to my jury today, so I was really nervous about that. The other people don't bother me at all, but Schreck does. I was shaking the whole time and my hands were sweating and my horn kept slipping from my hands. I mean, I could have played a lot worse, but I could have played a lot better. Oh well, that's the way the ball bounces.

So now that juries are over, I can concentrate on other things, like finishing my paper and studying for finals. I had to rewrite my paper this week b/c the organization was so bad. I'm feeling beter about it, but I still have to rewrite, again, my conclusion. I really hate writing conclusions. Finals shouldn't be too bad. I need to start studying for theory, but I did well in the class all year, so I'm not worried. Psychology will be easy as always. I'm a little worried about musicianship b/c I'm on the B+/A- edge. However, it's more important for me to do well on my paper and get an A in CC, b/c it's an 8 credit class. Musicianship is only 2 credits and won't affect my GPA as much as CC.

For you Stroudsburg girls, the "we'll see" is continuing to be "we'll see." I will fill you in on that when I get home.

In the mean time, my parents are driving out Friday and will be here saturday and sunday. We drive home on Monday. While I'm still here, I'll be trying to balance studying with spending time with all the friends I won't see for three months. I should probably say something profound here, but I don't have time b/c I have to leave for bible study. Perhaps the profound will come later.
