(no subject)
So, today has been a day of ups and downs. I talked to Dr. Doebler today about going to London. He was really excited about it, as well as Uganda, so that was good. If I keep the german minor and I still want to get out in four years, I need to take at least 12 credits over the next three summers. The problem is next year I'll hopefully be in Uganda, so I can't take any then. So I really need to take like 2 classes this summer. Doebler told me to check on early and late summer sessions and I found out that both Northampton Community College and Lehigh University have summer sessions that don't conflict with goign to London. So I'm feeling better about reaching a decision about that.
So my letter about the German House finally came and I can only leave there spring semester. I'm taking the room of two girls who are goign to Germany second semester. I feel really weird about that. First, I'll be entering the community after a semester of bonding and disrupting their dynamics. Second, I don't know what to do about rooming first semester. Do I leave with the person I'm rooming with second semester or are they in Germany first semester? Do I need to find someone leaving to go abroad second semester or find someone willing to take someone coming back? Can I room in a quad and have it go to a triple second semester or will they stick a random person in there after I leave? So, I'm stuck about that one.
MENC was awesome tonight. We had a local music therapist come in and talk to us about music therapy and children. Way cool. Lots of good info about classroom use, procedures, laws, money adn insurance, as well as education and job opportunities. Definatley ended the night on a good note.
