It's back to using mr_skunk19 again. And it's back to school. It's been one crazy week since I've moved in. Here's what I've done this week:
-Turned 21!
-Went to Pass Times (a great local bar) twice
-Went on a retreat with my House to a convent
-started classes
-said "Africa was great" a gazillion times
-sang compline for evening prayer
-auditioned for chamber concert band (CCB)
-had coffee with my horn stars
-practiced (grrrrr)
-recieved the Harved Dictionary of Music for being one of the top four students in my music class
-spent $544 on books
-got a wireless card
-started to learn guitar
-manned the MENC and Handbell Choir booths at the activities fair
-bought a plane ticket for the weekend
My grandparents' 50th anniversary is this weekend and I'm flying home Friday night for the party on Saturday. Aunt Jo is driving Pop to PA and I'm going back with them on Sunday in time to miss all my meetings for Sunday afternoon and the first Fellowship House dinner. Oh well. At least I get to surprise my grandmother and see all the cousins.
In other news, I'm doing pretty well. I"m still having a little trouble adjusting to life after Bundibugyo, but that's to be expected. I had some good conversations about my experience with old friends and professors and I'm really looking forward to see how the summer will affect this semester. And now it's time for dinner and the first CC Symposium of the year. Woohoo for Dean Piehl's annual address.
