My dad is such an asshole
today while we were driving to Sear's to get those Goddamn parts,
he said
"Women have too many words and emotions."
in a really hateful/irritated way.
Then he went on to describe how he's learned that
when women complain about something,
they don't really want it fixed,
they really just like complaining.
He tells me this right after I get off the phone with my mom,
whom he TOLD me to call.
She wasn't being bitchy or complaining,
and he refused to talk to her.
His excuse was that you shouldn't talk in "this kind of traffic",
but that was bullshit.
He says all kinds of really fucking stupid, misogynistic things like that.
Like,
one time,
he said
(and I quote,
word for word)
"Jewish women like to lie."
And I think,
for me,
after that,
I could no longer take him seriously as a human being,
much less a father.
