(no subject)
Well whattya know, posting a second time in a month! I think I mentioned in my last post about being in a funk since Emi and I parted. There's been ok days and bad days. The bad days usually tend to be either when, or the day after i talk to her... I should probably stop doing that.
So yeah, for the last three weeks I've mostly been sitting at home and sulking and/or drinking. Got out of the house though recently, went to Steve's bday party at Anodyne with Mayo and Kelly on Thursday night. Even though I was feeling a bit grumpy and anti-social, i still managed to have a decent time and was actually in a fairly upbeat mood at work the next day. I went out with Mayo and Kelly again the following night to see The Rum Fits final show. Had a great time, and the Rum Fits and the crowd were awesome! I even jumped in the slam pit, crutch and all! After the show, Mayo and Kelly decided to head home, but I chose to stick around cause I wasnt working the next day and I was feeling adventurous. I ended up going to Burt's Tiki Lounge with Howie, Felix and a few others to catch the last part of the Vertigo Venus show over there, turned out to be a lot of fun as well. After the bar closed I headed outside, and noticed some kind of confrontation with some guy and Felix going back and forth about what it turned out, the guy tried to grab and pull down Kristin's shirt. I remember the guy saying to Felix, "what are you gonna do about it", that's when I walked up and slammed him in the side of the head with my crutch, battering ram style! The guy dropped, I knocked him the fuck out, haha! Then Howie and Felix started booting him in the head and kidneys right as he hit the ground. I gave him one final kick in the face before we took off and all headed over to Victoria's apartment where we drank some more beers and smoked some pot, talking and laughing about what transpired at Burts. I got Home near 4 AM.
Spent Saturday, just laying around napping, taking the occasional shot of Jaegermeister and smoking a little bit of weed that my brother gave me Friday evening. Today, Im supposed to go check out Domestic Violence practice. They're Albuquerque's latest hardcore punk bands getting ready to emerge. Felix and Howie are both playing in DV, along with my friend's Phil and Siobeohn. Really lookign forward to them playing shows!
Back to work tomorrow. Glad I had a much better weekend than last. I drank all of last weekend, starting the minute I got home from work on Friday. Getting out this weekend was good for my state of mind, plus the weathers been decent, not so fucking cold. Got a couple books to read too, so that helps as well. Anyway, I done for now, so till next time....
