(no subject)
I was just looking at my last post... so to pick up where I left off, I ended up going down to Regina and Carrie's place for Kim's bday and from there we ended up at The Launchpad for The Accused show. Had fun even though I had to abruptly cut out.
There was an actual party at Regina and Carrie's the following Friday, which was was mostly a buncha skinheads and various freakoids, haha! Pretty fun! Didnt make it home till 4 in the morning though.
I awoke Saturday at around 8am and called up my kid since it was his 18th birthday. I drove over and picked him up and took him to breakfast and gave him a hundred bucks as a present. Afterwards, I went home and slept till 1:30 pm, then was awakened by a phone call from my brother calling to go to the tattoo convention going on downtown. I'd never been to one before and I wanted to check it out. We were only there a couple hours maybe. It was cool and all, but I think I woulda gotten more out of it if I was getting some work done. We had other plans that evening anyway, so we headed back to our places till then...
SO the big plan that night was a reunion of sorts, with our old Albuquerque punk crew from the mid/late 80's! One of the girls from that particular time was in town for the weekend from DC! Her name is Amanda. Thing about Amanda, is she and I had never actually met, however, we'd always knew of one another since we were both tight with the same circle of friends. I don't even know how to explain how that works, so Im not gonna bother, haha! Anyway, the plan was to meet at a bar called Gecko's in Nob Hill. Included, was myself, my brother, Sarah, Heather, Steve, Richard and Amanda plus her friend Julia. Amanda and I had exchanged messages on facebook, as well as chatted on line and talked on the phone a couple times at different times throughout the year, so when finally meeting her face to face, she didnt feel like a stranger at all, plus she looked just as beautiful in person as she did in the pics I'd seen of her, both past and present. We had a lot of fun at the bar drinking and catching up! Eventually, Sarah had to get home and Richard had somewhere else to be, so the rest of us headed back to my brother's house for more drinking! That's where Amanda and I ended up hooking up! It was awesome! Eventually me, her and Steve ended back at my apartment, where Steve had to abruptly take off due to some arguement on the phone with his ex gf, Chloe, so it ended up being just me and Amanda, so I basically got to spend an amazing night with an amazing girl! What really blows my mind about that, is I've always kinda wanted to hook up with her and it actually happened! I loved how after I got home from taking her back to her dad's house I was still able to smell the scent of her perfume on my t-shirt the rest of the day, haha! Yep, I had a great fucking weekend!
As for the coming weekend, my brother's bday is Friday, so I'll probably hang out with him somewhere and the next night there's another party at Regina and Carrie's for Pat's bday so that should help keep my time occupied. Anyway, I guess that's all for now, so till next time!
