During the EMP storm on saturday morning, a bolt struck the transformer outside of my house. The power surge momentarily screwed up every electronic device in my house; turning things off and on, thumping speakers, frying a large TV.

My dad offered to give me the 36" TV he spent 1500 on, but only if I can fix it. The power button on the TV has no effect at all, and the remote will not turn it on either. It was plugged directly into the wall when the transformer blew, and was the only TV in the house to suffer damage.

Does anyone know how to fix this (maybe where to look if I crack it open), or where I could go to get it fixed? Maybe a rough cost estimate? If it's not worth my time I'd like to know now before I lug the thing around town.
