...'That wasn't Question Time, it was a lynch mob.'
...
...
...
How dare he?!?!?!?!? How dare he compare himself to the victims of lynch mobs?
Did he even know what he was saying, and how ironic it was?
According to the Times website, the BBC has received something like 250 complaints about Griffin's 'unfair treatment', 115 complaining that he was even invited onto the show, and only 59 comments praising the broadcast.
My tuppence-worth? It's never 'unfair' to show a racist's true colours. Griffin was always going to be the focus of the show, so he has to suck it up and stop with his 'I'm being persecuted' routine. It's a crying shame that so few people have complained to the BBC about his invitation, or commented positively on the broadcast. So I added my comments to the pile (I'm somewhere in between complaining that he was invited, and congratulating the BBC on giving him a noose to hang himself with).
Also, the BNP claims 3,000 people joined their party during and after the broadcast. That could be bullshit. It might not be. What do you think?
