My Apologizes to Spirit Of The West..

You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best
I've been gone for a month, I've been numb since I left
These so-called vacations will soon be my death
I'm so sick from indelible ink I need home for a rest.

It's now past December and Seattle is cold
I'm holed up in my house standing at a cross road
I can't do nothin' but collapse and provoke
memories of the far past with repeating quotes

You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best
I've been gone for a week
I've been numb since I left
And these so-called vacations
Will soon be my death
I'm so sick and I think
I need home for a rest
Take me home....

Today again I forgo from station the long journey north
In no bus or car I lurch back or forth
Past old crooked hikes through Emerald City fields
Instead I am flung into chance as the world kicks and reals

You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best
I've been gone for a week
I've been numb since I left
And these so-called vacations
Will soon be my death
I'm so sick from the think
I need home for a rest
Take me home....

I look at the moon, as I drift through the streets
The night is so empty, so seductive and sweet
The street light teases and flirts, as the moon starts to frown
So I go home to a queen who denies me my crown.

You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best
I've been gone for a week
I've been numb since I left
And these so-called vacations
Will soon be my death
I'm so sick from the think
I need home for a rest
Take me home....

The fireplace's empty, it's cold as a tomb
The spirits I remember are now ghosts in the room
I'm tired again, come on sleep take me soon
And don't lift up my head 'till the the twelve bells at noon

You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best
I've been gone for a month
I've been numb since I left
And these so-called vacations
Will soon be my death
I'm so sick from life, I think
I need home for a rest
Take me home

song, home fora rest, parody
