Oh Appendix, where art thou?

I woke up yesterday with acute appendicitis. They took my exploding appendix out to save my life, but now I have the medical bills on top of a lien I was just this minute told about that is really hurting my FICO for my re-finance, and I'm losing my job soon due to end-of-contract, and cant interview to find a new contract due to the vicodin for the pain from the holes in my chest and due to the hours I cant miss more of from my current contract. I don't get benefits or medical leave like real employees, and it seems under the tax code its perfectly acceptable for them to expect me to work because I'm really a 1099 to them.

So if you have any good will/blessings/whatever to send me, I would really appreciate it. I need all the help I can get right now.
