Shudder to Think
I think I'm pretty predictable in most areas of my life. But then there's music...
I adore this song...which surprises even me. And it's not just the one song...I have a couple of their CDs, and like a lot of their stuff. Today I thought of them, did a search, and found this on youtube. And there I see in the comments that they are back together and doing a tour this fall.
So now I'm making plans to go to their Chicago show. Free ticket for anyone who wants to go along. :-)
This makes me think back on the other events I've attended in Chicago, and how incredibly happy I am that I was able to get there for them -- Art of Noise, a Projekt festival (to see Arcanta, mostly) and the Lyric Opera's production of Susanna (See? Complex. Unpredictable.)
I'll plan a little better for this than I did for the Projekt show, when I flew up on Saturday morning, spent the day walking around town, went to the concert, took the night bus back to Midway, tried to sleep in the airport, and flew back early in the morning in time to be at church. I believe I looked like the undead that morning. I did the hotel thing for Art of Noise and the opera. Much more comfortable.
