Fey me Twice

July 29th

When we last left our heroes, we were split up and placed in a dungeon in separate cells. Will we ever get back together? How will we escape? Is there still hope for a cigarillo?

(Atraxian realises that there's an effect in place that prevents him from manifesting his psionic blades)
Atraxian: Sionnach! I can't manifest my blades! You'll have to stab the fawn as a distraction.
Sionnach: I can't manifest either!
Atraxian: You never could before.
Sionnach: That's irrelevant. (To the other prisoner) Do you have any blades I could use to stab you?
Fawn: (Starts sobbing)
Sionnach: (To Atraxian): You're right. Totally useless.

(Sionnach is led into a tiny room, alone, with just enough room to fit. Suddenly the wall slides open, leading to a much larger chamber. Sionnach cautiously ventures in. When the wall slides back down, he panics and jumps back into the tiny room.)
Sionnach: Come to think of it, being trapped in there would probably be better than being trapped in here.

(Atraxian is put in a similar situation. He refuses to go, but spikes poke out of the wall until he does.)
Sabina: Somebody really wants you in that room.
Robert: Yeah. Adam.

(Guards accuse Aarevan of setting free a hobgoblin from the dungeon. He denies it.)
Guard: So the hobgoblin just now happened to bend the bars, break the lock, open the door, and get past the guards by himself right after you arrived?
Aarevan: I didn't see. Doesn't seem likely, does it?

(Aarevan is led into a similar room. He has the choice to defy them or comply.)
Aarevan: The time to antagonise them will come! But this is not it.

(Aarevan heads voices through the wall.)
Aarevan: That's your human resources department, isn't it?
Robert: Humanoid resources.

(Sionnach and Atraxian are returned to their cell, after being forced to kill helpless creatures. Sionnach was also transformed, temporarily, into a leprechaun, beard and magic abilities and all.)
Sionnach: (In an Irish accent) They made me kill three kobolds!
Atraxian: Why are you talking like that?
Sionnach: I don't know!

(We realise that the fawn in our cell has lost the ability to play music. Atraxian hypothesises that the people running the dungeon are stealing traits and abilities from some prisoners and conferring them onto others.)
Atraxian: Aarevan!
Aarevan: Yeah?
Atraxian: Can you see a leprechaun with no beard?
Eric: It's a testament to our relationship that all I say is "no."

(After returning to the cell, Atraxian realises that he can once again manifest his psionic blades. He begins hacking at the lock on the door.)
Atraxian: This is for locking me in a cell! And this is for taking my powers! And this is because I never got my cigarillo!
(The door opens)
Sionnach: (to the fawn) Go! Be free! Create a distraction! Go!

(On our way out, Sionnach gets a look at the hobgoblin in the cell and recognises him as his father.)
Father: Sionnach?
Sionnach: Atraxian! We need to open this cell too!
Father: You're not as much of a disappointment as I'd thought!
Sionnach: Never mind! Leave him here!

And thus end the lines of the night. Join us next week, when we'll hopefull all escape alive, and if we have time we'll go find Bière too.
